Challenge
The three owners of Cranford Business Park, each managing their own businesses within the building and overseeing multiple tenants, were looking for a way to reduce overhead costs while enhancing the property’s appeal to both existing and prospective tenants.
Solution
A sophisticated solar energy system was designed, featuring seven separate meters: one for each of the three businesses, two for the common areas, and two additional meters for tenants who lease energy from the property owners. This system not only reduced the electricity costs for the business owners and common areas but also enabled the owners to take advantage of solar tax incentives and monetize the property by offering energy to tenants at a discounted rate.
